Black Rice does have a lot more antioxidants than its brown or white counterparts. One of these antioxidants is responsible for the color. Deep purple to black. Other than the color and the nutrients, this Chinese Black Forbidden Rice offers a mild nutty taste, and adds a great color contrast.
