This cheese originated in Wisconsin in the 1800's as French immigrants sought to imitate the Munster cheese from their homeland. It is a semi-soft creamy cheese with a creamy white color and an orange rind. It has subtle nutty buttery flavor that develops more character as it ages. Everyone loves how muenster cheese makes any dish or sandwich a little tastier, creamier, and oh-so delicious. Great as a grilled cheese as well as placed on a traditional sandwich.
