Castello Smoked Fontina - Danish like product produced in Hollandtown, WI. Product is cold smoked up to 48 hour with hickory chips. Fontina is a semi-soft, smooth textured cow’s milk cheese, with a few small round holes. Sliceable and suitable for shredding, Danish Fontina has a mellow, sweet, aromatic and distinguished delicate buttery flavor. Dense, smooth with a hint of wild honey. A great substitute for mozzarella and fantastic when served with fruits and crusty bread. Also excellent for melting in fondues and sauces as it melts well with no oily residue.
