Palmetto Cheese is homestyle pimento cheese made in Wisconsin but inspired by the original recipe from Pawley’s Island South Carolina.
Pimento cheese is a beloved blend of shredded cheese, mayonnaise, cream cheese, pimentos and spices. Spreadable, tangy, salty and rich, this cheese makes a great sandwich, cracker topping, dip, and more. Supposedly invented at a Bed and Breakfast in South Carolina, this pimento recipe is being made authentically in Wisconsin with sharp yellow cheddar as the base. Try it on a cracker with a dollop of pepper jelly for a true Southern experience!
