triple cream soft ripened cheese with blue veining. Cambozola, is the leader of soft ripened blue cheeses in the US. Imported from Bavaria, Germany and produced by Kaserei Champignon, a family owned company making cheese for over 100 years. Lactose free, gluten free and made with RBST free milk sourced from local family farms. Milk comes exclusively from the Algau region of southern Bavaria, where the Swiss Brown Cow is grazing in the foothills of the Alps. Exterior mold is penicillium camemberti. Called Cambozola as there is an ancient Roman settlement nearby called Cambodunum, where the art of cheese making flourished.
