Whole piquillo peppers grown in Spain are cooked with wild foraged kombu seaweed from the waters off the coast of Galicia. Mixed with olive oil, garlic, salt and sugar before being tinned, this conserva makes for an excellent vegetarian option when serving appetizers, tapas, or seeking a snack with a glass of wine or Spanish cider. While this tinned piquillo pepper is vegetarian friendly, it is processed in a facility which handles fish and shellfish and may not be free of these allergens.
