Dilly Artisan Foods was created by Lancaster County, PA natives who grew up with a sense of pride in the artisanal foods that come from the area’s rich culinary history. Some Dilly products require special processes using milk, cream, or curds that masters have been using for more than 100 years. In 2020, Shenk’s Cup Cheese became part of the Dilly Artisan Foods family. This product’s long history provides a strong foundation for blending both the old and new. It also allows us to be recognized as the oldest continuous cheesemaker in the state of Pennsylvania. Last year, Dilly launched its Cowz Leap brand. The Cowz Leap tagline is "Deliciously Simple & Fresh". This launch included a full line of handcrafted cheese curdz. Supporting the local ecosystem of Lancaster County is central to Dilly. Keeping these food traditions on grocery store shelves and in the hands of our local chefs keeps the region’s heritage alive for those who love it and those who have yet to try it. Buying local also helps our area farmers who depend on the local economy and small businesses like Dilly. At Dilly, we are about both the old and the new. We have a rich, strong history with deep-rooted traditions. Applying those traditional practices in new ways is at the heart of our exciting future. Cowz Leap Roasted Garlic & Herb Cheese Curdz are handcrafted which is apparent by the quality and craftsmanship in each retail bag. We use pasteurized, cultured fresh milk for each batch as procured from our local farmers. Milk arrives at our facility within 8 hours of the milking cycle which ensures freshness. These curdz are flavored with a proprietary blend of roasted garlic, oregano and basil which ensures a clean ingredient statement. Packaging reflects a gluten-free call-out and 0 sugar call-out. Cheese is packaged the day after processing in an effort to maintain the freshness. Our retail selling bag offers a resealable zipper for easy storage after opening. Our bags are made of recyclable material and printed with eco-friendly ink. This is a great snacking cheese but can also be used to top salads and flatbreads, breaded and deep-fried, used to stuff or top burgers, an addition to a creamy tomato bisque or an alternative in just about any recipe that requires cheese.
