Le Châtelain® Camembert comes from Normandy. Located in the Western part of France, this region is rich in green pastures thanks to a climate that allows for rain over 200 days per year. Normandy has an ancient tradition of raising dairy cows. Since the Middle Ages, proud breeds like “Vache Normande” have been producing milk used in the making of some of the most renowned AOC cheeses of France, especially washed-rind varieties and of course, Camembert.
Le Châtelain® has a uniform consistency throughout, a rich flavor and a creamy texture just like the ones gracing the cheese boards of France. Ripens overtime, our camembert is going from fresh cream taste to more unctuous texture and bold flavored taste adored by connoisseurs. Le Chatelain Camembert comes in a traditional wood box.
