Sweet Sam's began in the kitchen of Lyn and David Grogan's New York apartment. Lyn was the baker - testing and retesting recipes - while David sought after bakery supplies. After a year of trial and error, the Grogans crafted the Sweet Sam's storefront from an old embroidery shop in the Bronx. More than twenty years later, Sweet Sam's has moved into a bakery twenty times larger than its first location. The Grogans still work with much of its original team and continue to bake with the best ingredients.
